If you’re heading out for St. Patrick’s Day, law enforcement across multiple states is stepping up enforcement. Expect DUI/OVI checkpoints, saturation patrols, and increased police presence throughout the evening and overnight hours.


🍀 Ohio – Montgomery County OVI Checkpoint

Drivers in Montgomery County should stay alert this evening.

An OVI checkpoint is scheduled in Washington Township along State Route 725 near Paragon Road. Officers will be stopping vehicles to check for impaired driving and valid licenses.

🚔 Tennessee Area DUI Checkpoints

Several counties are running checkpoint enforcement operations tonight. If you’re driving through these areas, expect brief stops and traffic delays.

Carroll County drivers should expect a checkpoint on US 70 near the Carroll-Madison County line.

In Jackson, enforcement will take place on Highway 56 just north of Hestand Lane.

Putnam County will have a checkpoint set up at the US 70 and Tennessee Avenue intersection.

Hawkins County is conducting enforcement on US Highway 11E near McCullough Cemetery Road.

🚨 Orange County – City of Orange

The Orange Police Department is holding a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint on East Katella Avenue.

Location: 1200 East Katella Avenue
Time: 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM


🚓 San Diego County

Expect extra DUI patrols countywide from Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning.

Time: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
👉 Last year, multiple DUI arrests were made during this same holiday period.


🚔 Beverly Hills (Los Angeles County)

A sobriety and license checkpoint will be set up at the intersection of North Santa Monica Boulevard and Crescent Drive.

Time: 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM


🚓 Folsom (Sacramento County)

Folsom Police will conduct a DUI checkpoint at an undisclosed location.

👉 Officials strongly recommend using a designated driver or rideshare if you plan to drink.


🚨 Los Angeles (Citywide Enforcement)

Los Angeles is running multiple enforcement operations:

A checkpoint is scheduled at Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Roscoe Boulevard from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

In addition, DUI saturation patrols will be active in both the Hollywood Division and Pacific Division from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
