Additional Checkpoint Information
According to publicly available information, the Orange Police Department planned a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint at an undisclosed location in west Orange. Checkpoints are intended to address impaired driving and verify driver licensing. Officers may look for signs of alcohol or drug impairment, including impairment from certain prescription and over-the-counter medications. The department encourages drivers to plan ahead, designate a sober driver, or use a rideshare service. The program was supported by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
