Additional Checkpoint Information
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department announced a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint scheduled for Friday, October 30, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. at an undisclosed location in Mission Viejo. The department states that checkpoint locations are selected based on collision data and DUI arrest patterns. Deputies will look for signs of impairment involving alcohol or drugs and check drivers for valid licenses. The department also reminds motorists that prescription medications, marijuana, and combinations of alcohol and other substances can impair driving ability and potentially lead to a DUI.
